Conference | Analysts-in-Training (AIT)

In keeping with NAAP’s commitment to our Analysts-in-Training (AIT) as the future of independent psychoanalysis we are excited to announce a special opportunityNAAP annual conference discount for new analysts for them to join us at our annual conference, “Masculinity and Manhood”, and as new members of the organization.

Please let all of your candidates know about this special offer for them to be with us and our distinguished speakers, addressing a topic of such timely importance and relevance professionally and personally.

The conference and the Gradiva Awards Banquet provide a forum for connecting as well as learning. We believe that giving institute members a chance to get to know one another over opportunities for socialization at events like the conference provides additional, essential support to their identity as psychoanalysts. It can also make more three-dimensional the real benefits: clinical, legislative, and professional NAAP contributes to maintaining the status of independent psychoanalysis.

With these goals in mind, we are pleased to offer the following to our upcoming candidates.
  • A discounted candidate’s group fee: your institute may form its own group (e.g., Team Blanton-Peale) and fill that group name in on their registration, then proceed to the full registration. Or, they can simply use the group name AIT, and proceed. As a candidate group member they will be entitled to a conference discount fee of $75, and a Gradiva luncheon discount fee of $35 through Sunday 10/23. After the 23rd the group fee will increase to $85 and the luncheon $40. This is available for institute students only.
  • First year membership to NAAP included with the conference fee. See attached for a description of NAAP membership benefits.
  • Reserved, designated AIT tables at the Gradiva Awards banquet (early student group Gradiva discount = $35)  for those who would like to connect and network there. The AIT Committee is a vibrant part of the NAAP structure. They invite everyone to meet up and learn more about the organization and ways to participate throughout the year. Many candidate volunteers will be seen working together during the conference – notice their name tags, introduce yourself and let them know more about you and what we might be able to offer you going forward.
  • Social opportunity at the post-conference reception.

We very much want to welcome candidates from all the schools and share this special day!
